That’s why, to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Bauhaus, we created a series of notebooks, Pen Loops and pencils that are truly evocative of Bauhaus style. The colourful side cuts and lines impressively underline the principles. Matching the respective side cut is the dotted lineature in the colours red, royal blue or black.
The embossed quotation on the cover "Everything starts from a dot" is by Wassily Kandinsky, a teacher at the Bauhaus, and stands for the fact that creativity arises in the mind: To share it with the world, it must come from the head - by hand on a piece of paper - and always starts with a dot. The first point of contact between thoughts and paper - a decisive moment.

Wassily Kandinsky, painter, graphic artist, art theorist and teacher of the Bauhaus movement, summed it up with the following: “Everything starts from a dot”. Creativity emerges in the mind, but if it is to be given to the real world, it must leave the mind and travel through the hand to a sheet of paper, and always begins ... with a dot. The first point of contact between thought and paper, a decisive moment.
Clean, reduced forms, functional details and colors are core components and form the basic principles of the Bauhaus movement. We have adopted the Bauhaus idea and created a special edition to mark the centenary of the birth of the Bauhaus movement, which is in line with the classic Bauhaus design elements. The products show the official anniversary logo of Bauhaus Kooperation Berlin Dessau Weimar gGmbH.
A characteristic feature of the “100 Years Bauhaus” special edition notebooks is the Wassily Kandinsky quote embossed on the front cover: “Everything starts from a dot”. The cover, fore-edge, flyleaf and linear print all come in a matching color. A brief profile of Wassily Kandinsky is featured on the endpaper. These books contain all the well-known LEUCHTTURM1917 details, such as index, page numbers, 2 bookmarks and a sticker set for labelling and archiving. There are 4 Medium (A5) notebooks as well as 1 Master Classic (A4+) notebook.
